Mainpuri Railway Station

Mainpuri railway station in Lane no 12 was started in 1905. Located in Mainpuri district, the city railway station provides quality train transport facility for it travellers from and to Mainpuri as it handles nearly 9,000 passengers each day. The station is elevated about 159 m that is 522 feet above sea level. Mainpuri railway station operates below the northern central railways with the station code MNQ and its headquarters in New Delhi. The station comes under the Allahabad division. Mainpuri railway station is sited on Shikohabad-Farrukhabad branch line. This new branch line construction was commenced in 2013.The Mainpuri railway branch line from Shikohabad was opened till Mainpuri in 1905 and the same branch line was extended till Farrukhabad in 1906. The Shikohabad-Farrukhabad branch line which runs through Mainpuri city starts from the south-west of Shikohabad and runs through the south-east of Shikohabad connecting railway stations of Araon, Takha, Tindauli, Bhongaon and Mota besides connecting Mainpuri city and Mainpuri Kucheri. One new railway branch line connecting Mainpuri to its adjacent city Etawah in under-construction.
